1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us:
- Account Information: Name, email address (via Firebase Authentication), profile avatar/mascot selection, language and theme preferences.
- Authentication: Sign-in via email, Apple ID, or Google Sign-In. We do not store your passwords.
- Relationship Data: Relationship start date, important dates (anniversaries, birthdays, custom dates), and relationship goals.
- Game Activity: Answers to relationship questions (Would You Rather, This or That, Guess Partner, Photo Choice), match results with your partner, topics completed, and star progress.
- Achievements & Progress: Stars earned and gifted, current level, streak data, unlocked achievements, and daily quest completions.
- Content: Photos, titles, and descriptions uploaded to memories; daily messages to your partner (up to 20 characters).
- Partner Connection: Invite code for partner linking, partner's profile information.
2. Automatically Collected Information
We automatically collect certain information when you use Lovy:
- Analytics: Session duration, screens viewed, features used, onboarding completion, game interactions, and general usage patterns. This data is collected both through Firebase Analytics and our own analytics service.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reports, error logs, and app stability data.
- Device Information: Device type, iOS version, app version, locale, and timezone.
- Push Notification Tokens: FCM tokens for delivering notifications (with your consent).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide core app features: games, quests, memories, progress tracking, streaks, and achievements
- Connect you with your partner and sync shared data in real-time
- Calculate and display match percentages and relationship insights
- Deliver daily messages between you and your partner
- Send push notifications about partner activity, streaks, important dates, and reminders (with your consent)
- Process subscriptions and manage premium features via RevenueCat
- Analyze usage patterns to improve the app experience
- Provide customer support
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except:
- With Your Partner: By connecting with a partner, you consent to sharing the following data: your name, avatar, answers to game questions, match results, streaks, star count, gift stars, level, achievements, memories, important dates, daily messages, and last active time.
- Firebase (Google): Authentication, analytics, crash reporting, cloud messaging, and photo storage.
- Google Cloud: Data storage and backend infrastructure (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL).
- RevenueCat: Subscription management and purchase verification.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
5. Data NOT Shared with Partner
The following information is never shared with your partner:
- Your email address or authentication credentials
- Your device information or analytics data
- Detailed activity logs or session history
- Your notification preferences
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Your data is stored on secure Google Cloud infrastructure. Your photos and personal content are stored in Firebase Storage and are only accessible to you and your connected partner.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Opt out of analytics collection
- Manage your notification preferences
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes. Shared data (like completed topics, match results, and shared memories) may remain visible to your partner's account.
9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States where our service providers (Google/Firebase) operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the app.
